Warthog Oiled

This is a new leather I’ve bought in.. and it is utterly amazing. It’s butter soft and has a superb texture and feel. Probably one of the nicest leathers I’ve ever come across.

The colour reminds me of wild Warthogs, and the military desert colouring of the A-10 Thunderbolt ‘Warthog’ – one of the hard-ass-est pieces of military kit ever!

It is a full grain calf side, and lightly sueded to create a luxury nubuck aniline finish. The edges are left natural and are lightly roughed by dragging with a blade. I then work the leather with a custom mix of oils and waxes to produce a rich deep patina – this also makes the surface super smooth and full of character.

It is extremely comfortable straight out of the box. It is backed with the same leather and treated with leather conditioner.

The leather is unsealed, so will pick up a unique patina with use – although being oiled, it will be more patina/stain resistant than a non-oiled strap.

Thickness is about 4mm at the lugs and thins gradually to 2-2.5mm at the tip.

Strap pictured has black stitch.
If you wish, I can get hold of pretty much any colour stitch.
