Moonrock Grey (Nubuck)
This leather is utterly amazing. It’s butter soft and has a superb texture and feel. Probably one of the nicest leathers I’ve ever come across.
It is a full grain calf side, and lightly sueded to create a luxury nubuck aniline finish. The edges are left natural and are lightly roughed by dragging with a blade. I lightly work the edge of the strap with waxes and oils to bring out subtle colour variations.
It is extremely comfortable straight out of the box. It is backed with the same leather and treated with leather conditioner.
The leather is unsealed, so will pick up a unique patina with use.
Thickness is about 4mm at the lugs and thins gradually to 2-2.5mm at the tip.
Please note – under different lighting conditions, the grey can look slightly different, but essentially it is a mid grey colour.
Straps pictured features black and light grey stitch.
If you wish, I can get hold of pretty much any colour stitch.

Hello sir, I’m a new owner of a Heuer Autavia Viceroy 1163V and would like to acquire a nice vintage strap for it. I visited your website and finally I have selected 3 colours in my mind. The first one is Mid Tan Oiled, 2nd one is Milk Chocolate, and the 3rd one is Brick Brown Oiled. To obtained your professional opinion, together with my below link of my existing Pan Europ colour combination, I want to hear some comments from you before I finalised my order with you.
I’m eager to hear a response from you.
Cheers, Andy

Hello,
I am looking for to change my steel strap on a Tissot PRC 200 and I would like to buy one of your racing strap like a Milk Choclate or a Mid Tan Oiled. Which one do you think will be the best adapted for this watch?
I look forward to hearing news from you soon.
Regards,
Emmanuel

Emmanuel,
Like most things, it’s down to personal taste.. but I’d go for a mid tan oiled. On the other hand, Milk Choc would look nice too!
I’ll email you.

[…] Personally I’d love to own the Prototipo (I’m looking at you Autodromo right now but in the meantime I’m happy with my Heuer. Especially if it’s on a fine vintage looking Heuerville strap. […]

Hi sir, i have an Oris Air Racing III – all black watch / i’m thinking of gettin’ the Moonrock Grey as shown on the picture. But i’m having difficulties deciding on the colour of the stitches? Or could you recommend any other solution?
Best regards, Christian

I’d go for light grey or red stitching – I believe your watch has a red & white hour hand.
