Slate Blue (Nubuck)
This is a new leather I’ve bought in.. and it is utterly amazing. It’s butter soft and has a superb texture and feel. Probably one of the nicest leathers I’ve ever come across.
It is a full grain calf side, and lightly sueded to create a luxury nubuck aniline finish. The edges are left natural and are lightly roughed by dragging with a blade. I lightly work the edge of the strap with waxes and oils to bring out subtle colour variations.
It is extremely comfortable straight out of the box. It is backed with the same leather and treated with leather conditioner.
The leather is unsealed, so will pick up a unique patina with use.
Thickness is about 4mm at the lugs and thins gradually to 2-2.5mm at the tip.
Strap pictured has black stitch.
If you wish, I can get hold of pretty much any colour stitch. Light blue would look great on this strap!

What a stunning strap Stewart! This isn’t doing my Heuerville addiction any good.
I’m going to have to find a watch to go with this now……

Jochen, congrats on the ck2998. I could treat a Slate Blue so that it’s deep blue.
